LSO ARCHITECTS

Extension and Major Refurbishment , Carsick ,Sheffield

The client approached us with a view to completely remodelling and extending a 1970′s dormer bungalow. They wanted to achieve a modern, contemporary open plan design but utilising where possible the existing structure of the house.  The old section ie the original house is essentially contained within the smaller front block of the new property.

In terms of remodelling it was a major job , the front part of the house was maintained in plan, but the walls were taken down to ground floor level and the house rebuilt from there up. A new glass staircase, large extension to the rear of the existing footprint and zinc roof were added  with existing window locations amended/ altered .

The end result was a stunning contemporary house with a very high level of internal finishes and fittings. Complete with state of the art lighting and  audio systems, underfloor heating and bespoke fitted furniture.
